UPDATE – Save the Bay Swim, Saturday July 29th, 2017

.

Oh Mother Nature, was that Nor’easter really necessary on July 29th!!! Sadly, the swim was canceled. New England weather has a mind of its own and so for safety’s sake that decision was made. Greg trained hard for the swim (as I’m sure all the swimmers did!) and still plans on doing a local 1.7-2.0 mile swim to submit to Save the Bay. Hopefully we will have some video to post here when that is completed. So as not to keep you in suspense I will answer the question….FALSE! A one-armed guy can swim pretty straight and pretty long especially with fins and a wet suit! Unless of course he’s “messing with you” and goes in circles on purpose! Stay tuned for more. If next year’s schedule allows Greg will probably sign up again. Thanks for your support!

#MyAlternateSwim was 1.8 miles in 1:45 and was completed on August 19, 2017 at 9AM. #BiopicFeatureFilm

Is it true that a one-armed guy can only swim in circles?

We’ll find out on July 29th when Greg takes on his next big physical challenge by raising funds for and participating in the Save the Bay swim; a 1.7 mile open bay swim in Narragansett Bay. The course runs from the Newport Navy Base to Potter’s Cove in Jamestown.

Donations for this event can be made by going here. Scroll down, under search participants enter Greg’s name, then click on his name which will take you to his fundraising page! Any questions, email us at info@makinlemonade.org. Thanks for your support!
